Harry Edward Styles, known as Harry Styles in the world of pop music. by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer known as a member of the group One Direction. Parents were Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on the 1st of February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, together with his fellow classmates, formed a musical band called White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them win their first Battle of Bands 2009. In spite of always having an interest in music he also wanted to be a lawyer or physiotherapist. To support the needs of his children, he took a short time working part-time at a bakery. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. The reason for this is that his band broke up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the group that was to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The group's creation took place in the year 2010, and the five youngsters were funded by Simon Cowell. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell and performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the best contenders for the competition. Despite this, they finished third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell were not able to take home the prize. However Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
