Lisa Edelstein, an American actress who is best well-known for House the Fox medical drama series. Growing up in Wayne with a strict Jewish customs, she emigrated in New York City at the age of 18 and began studying acting at the Tisch School of Arts. The school was heavily involved in the clubs in New York City, and made enough noise that she was recognized by the media. At the same time she became more conscious of AIDS' devastating effects. She used both her experience in the music industry and public recognition to write and perform in a musical of her own, Positive Me. Awake the Wild Side, a show she hosted for MTV was soon her job. After the show was finished, she went on to work in movies and TV productions. She started with tiny roles and then established herself in the process of becoming an actor.
